Bringing Healing to Wounded Lives
Although addictions may have led to some people’s homeless situation, addiction isn’t the core problem. All too often, alcohol and drugs are just some of the coping mechanisms that people use to escape and avoid dealing with unwanted thoughts and feelings.
Quite often the pain that people are trying to escape has been affecting their lives since childhood. Studies show that the more trauma that someone faces, the greater the likelihood of addiction. Our restoration program helps people work on identifying their core problems, and bring about healing while giving them tools to live victorious lives free from their addictions.
Healing takes time because people’s problems don’t go away overnight, and they certainly won’t go away by simply being housed. So keep our program participants in your prayers as well as our staff that work hard to bring emotional healing to peoples lives.
